Samsung Galaxy S IV to feature eye scrolling
The big reveal of Samsung’s next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S IV.There’s plenty of speculation about the device’s hardware and features, the Galaxy S IV will include “Eye Scrolling,” a new way to possibly interact with a smartphone.
Earlier this year, Samsung filed for trademark over the name “Eye Scroll” in Europe, and “Samsung Eye Scroll” in the United States. There’s no word as to whether or not the eye-tracking tech will be on display during Samsung’s “Unpacked” reveal event on March 14. And if Samsung does include eye tracking functions in its next smartphone, one has to wonder how the feature works with people wearing glasses?.
But even if we are unsure about how the Galaxy S IV might watch our eyeballs, a few details on the internals of the device have apparently leaked. Italian site Androidiani (via InformationWeek), posted benchmarking results including indications the Galaxy S IV will include an Exynos 5410 dual quad-core chip at 1.8GHz. The screen measures 4.99 inches, with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. The benchmark reports show the device as using Android Jelly Bean 4.2.
