Step 1: Check what is your current operating system.
#cat /etc/issue
Step 2: Update linux operating system using below command
#yum update -y
The yum update will take plenty of time. After finishing it will show you completed message.
Step 3: Once the update is completed Check the updated operating system.
#cat /etc/issue
That’s it your linux box is up to date now.
