How to make another partition from C : drive in your hard disk

Here’s an easy way to create a new partition on your Harddisk.

Step 1

Open the Disk Management console by typing “diskmgmt.msc”

through command prompt.




Step 2

In the Disk Management window, right-click your C: partition and select Shrink Volume.

Enter the amount of space you want to shrink the partition by, in MB.


Step 3

After the process completes, right-click inside the Unallocated space and select New Simple

Volume to create a new partition from the unpartitioned space.
Step 4

Make your new partition When the process is complete, you’ll have a separate data partition.
